LIONESS CLUB

Mission
Our mission is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and cooperation. We serve but are not limited to the area covered by the Central Square School District.

Our Service Projects Include
Spring Senior Dinner, School clothing project, senior scholarship and Lion’s Christmas baskets – hats, scarves, mittens and toys. We are all volunteers who work hard to assist our local communities. Our biggest fundraisers include our continual RADA knives sales, Springtime Bunny Hop, Summer Yard sale and of course, our September Apple Festival. 100% of our proceeds are donated back to charities, primarily local food pantries, schools, ambulance and emergency services and libraries.

History
The Lioness Club of Central Square was formed to provide an opportunity for members of our community to take part in a service organization and unite in friendship. Our charter installation night on May 17, 1984 officially united us as a club which was 32 members strong. We’ve grown through the years, both in numbers and the amount of help we have been able to provide to our communities. Our largest project, our annual Apple Festival, would not be possible without the support of the members of our community. We wish to once again say thank you to everyone who has helped us grow. We could not do it without you!
