Parks

There are three parks in the Village of Central Square. The primary park is Goettel Park located off of Route 11 North just past the cemetery. Goettel Park has a ball field, food pavilion with picnic tables and a gazebo. It can be reserved for events. For more information contact the Village office or check out our website for a reservation application.

The village owns land off of Route 49 that they are hoping to develop in the future. The final park (Ada Powell Smith- Forever Wild) in the village is on Route 49/ East Ave just past the American Legion. The Ada Powell Smith Park is a 21.6 acre nature Park that has been designated to remain forever wild, and consists of wetlands, scenic overlooks, an open field and streams with various wildlife and plants. Currently there is a short nature trail at this park. The development of this part has been done by local Girl Scout and Boy Scout groups along with some work by the village and other non-profit groups made possible through grants.
